Recommendations | School & Sports Pages

ok so you want to get all your school & sport pictures in a scrapbook but you aren't sure what supplies are out there to use. well here is what i would recommend and/or have used to create school & sport pages. I will be posting some of the sports & school pages that i've done in the next few days, so stay tuned!:)

1. School/Team Colors - look for papers that have your school/team colors in them. Plus its always nice to have some neutrals on hand, like these from American Crafts that you can order from Two Peas in a Bucket.

Lockers/Grey Text 12X12 Makin The Grade Paper by Little Yellow Bicycle
Yearbook 12X12 Collection Pack by Studio Calico
Alphabet Junction 12X12 Collection Kits by Carta Bella

 2. the 411 - you gotta document the "who, what, when, where and why" and instead of listing all together i like to add this info with embellishments! you can tuck dates, locations, stories and names & ages on different embellishments and spread it around the page.

3. Stickers - i'm currently building up my Alpha Sticker collection. i like to use them as a title. on school pictures i would use alpha stickers for the grade or year. on sports, the team name or year. they come in almost any color and size you can think of. i'd get different sizes, you never know what you might need.

4. then comes my favorite. . . STAMPS! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE STAMPS! why? because you can use them over & over & over and change the colors to match whatever you are working on! I've been adding to my rubber stamp collection for many years and some of the ones i bought early on i don't use that much, but there are a few that very versatile that i still use! right now with project life being so big in the scrapbooking world you can find LOTS of "documenting life" stamps.

Project Life | Week 38

what a colorful week! I love all the bright colors, to me, its very young and energetic! We played out side quite a bit, the weather has been SO nice that it's hard to stay inside. So, after school is done and Abby Jo wakes up from her afternoon nap we've been going out to play for a few hours each night. The girls are still loving the chalkboard! i try to clean it off each morning so its ready for them when they wake up. i like to leave it at night so that keith can see what they did. i'm trying to remember to use the timer on my camera so that i can get in some shots. keith and i got to have a mini date night! i got to watch him bowl so i took a picture to include it in this weeks layout, because thats part of his life right now. i hope you enjoy and please feel free to leave a comment!!!

project life | week 37

the major thing going on this week was the war with the markers! abby jo kept finding markers but i couldn't! so i finally had enough and put the ALL up!    Reagan started watching how-to-draw youtube videos (yay!) the rest is pretty much normal stuff.
i kept the design really simple, i like that the only pattern paper used was chevron. lots of fun!
