Punch Club 2012!

Stampin' Up! has 53 punches! (http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ItemList.aspx?categoryid=678) You have your basic shapes, circles, squares, hearts ect., the edge punches, builder punches and punches that coordinate with stamp sets. I LOVE punches!!! They make it easy & fast to make cards. Since I've started collecting Stampin' Up! punches I find myself using them ALL the time! They make it so EASY! I believe so much in the punches that I'm starting a Punch Club in 2012! Here is how it works...

• We need 10 members in the club, this will help to keep each individual month cost as low as possible.

• Each month someone in the club will be "host" and they will receive all the benefits of the Host Program (first person to sign up gets January, second gets Feb, ect). The month that you are host you can collect additional orders or even host a workshop to earn additional free products.

• Your order total each month has to be at least $16.95. So, if you'd like to get the Small Hear Punch for $5.95 you will need to another punch (or some other products, maybe some card stock) to get your sub total over $16.95.

• Everyone will make a list of the 12 punches you'd like to receive this year. And the second/third week of month I will notify you about which punch you will be getting and see if there is anything else you need and you can make payment with a check or debt card.

Once everyone's orders & payments are in then I will order the loot :) and about a week later I'll receive everything and begin dropping off the orders. If you are not local then we can talk about some options to get your order to you!

Any questions let me know, this is my first club so I'm sure there is something I've forgot to mention!

I will be making projects using Stampin' Up! punches to help inspire & show some different ways to use the punches. And if anyone in the club makes a project using Stampin' Up! punches just send it to me and I'll post it here for everyone to see.

Just post a comment to let me know you want on the list!
Here is a standard size card set that I made mixing current & retired products. The main stamped image, the "thank you" & flower pot of tulips, is a retired set, along with the dots at the bottom. The sentiment "you're the BEST!" is from a current set. All the paper and the shape that I stamped the "you're the BEST!" on is current, I punched with the Decorative Label Punch twice and then I layered one on top of the other. I used a black pen to outline the shape on the green card stock just to add some interest. I made 6 cards changing the pattered paper & color of the the tulips. Then I made this "magazine holder" to put the cards & envelopes in. I punched again with the Decorative Label Punch and stamped "thank you", then I folded it in half and adhered it to the front of the card holder so you know what kind of cards in that holder.

Owl Punch

Oh the wonderful things Mr Owl Punch can do. He can...

Make an Owl...

 a Turkey...

  some ghosts,

and this cute little Rudolph (not sure what I'm gonna stick him on yet).

Maybe YOU can, too. I think you ought to try!

Big Shot project

Here are some chipboard letters I cut out using the Big Shot! I used Adirondack Paint Dabbers to paint the letters green then I used Stickles™ Glitter Glue to make them sparkly! I'm planning to use them on a Scrapbook layout.

workspace wednesday

I've got this idea.... every Wednesday I'll take a picture of my workspace and post here. I'm pretty messy when I craft so it should be interesting to see. I'm in the process of setting up in a new space. We had a home office that I shared with my husband, but when we found out we're expecting Abby we changed it into a playroom. So, my supplies got moved into boxes and into out closet (one of these days I'll take a picture of that but its just TOO messy right now!). I would go to the closet and grab whatever supplies I wanted to work with and then go to the kitchen table, the kitchen counters, the living room floor & even kitchen floor to work on projects. Abby has moved into Reagan's room so we have more space in our bedroom, so thats where I'm working at. I've not got every put away yet, but I'm getting there! So, here we go the first shot is just to let you see the whole picture, then the second one is my workspace!

Traditional Scrapbook pages

Did you know that I'm a personal scrapbooker? yes I am! AND I LOVE IT! I'm working on some sport & school pictures for a friend of her kids. she has 4 kids and is a super busy mom that loves to have pictures scrapbooked but doesnt have time. so all she does is take pictures and give them to me, or in this case she just gives me the individual & group picture, then I make them into a 12x12 traditional scrapbook page & give the pages to her put in her kids scrapbooks! She loves it because she has the pictures out of boxes where her family can look at them & enjoy!
I'd love to do more pages so let me know if I can help you get your pictures out of boxes and into scrapbooks!
(I'm gonna try to get better pictures of the pages next time!)

One Day at a Time card

New Blog I'm Following!

I found a new blog to follow! Its a Stampin' Up! demonstrator's blog, so she makes beautiful cards & other projects with Stapmin' Up! products. I LOVE Stampin' Up!, the stamps are a GREAT quality, the CARDSTOCK IS FABULOUS and the INK IS AMAZING! For a color junkie like me, I love that you can have the exact same color in cardstock, markers, buttons, ribbons and more! Plus now you can get a stamp set "wood mounted" or "clear" and I LOVE clear stamps and with Stampin' Up! the clear ones are less expensive!!! And in the catalog, the size of the images are the size the stamp is. So you aren't expecting the stamp to work with a 2" punch and then when it comes in its 5". Another thing I love about Stampin' Up! is that you make really awesome cards really fast! I have stamps that I bought over 6 years ago that I STILL use and get the same results that I did the first time I used them! Its a WONDERFUL company! LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

Project Life Update

I'm still working on Project Life. things have been so crazy lately that I've not been posting my picture of the day (POTD). so i'm gonna try to start posting them again. im also taking those pictures and making a "month in review" digital 12x12 page. i was planning to put that 12x12 in our "2011" scrapbook, but ive decided since im doing Project life that Im not gonna do a "2011" scrapbook. instead im making a scrapbook of Reagan and one of Abby. So I print 2 of the month in review and put them in the girls books to mark a new month.

First Sewing Project...

.... a complete success!!! Mom helped me make a sling for Abby. This was my first sewing project and it took us roughly 3.5 hours to make it. I LOVE the way it turned out! And I think Abby likes it!
