So Little Scrapbook Page

This one is for Abby Jo's scrapbook, I used the left side of this layout to make this page.

tee ball digital scrapbook page

This is a 2 page spread that i put together in Photoshop. I used a combination of kits and I altered a few elements to make it. I find kits by searching "free digital scrapbooking kits" it has taken me quite awhile to put my collection together. You can also purchase digital kits, online stores like Two Peas in Bucket has several to choose from. Here is the sketch from Nuts About Sketches that I used.

Cards for Teachers

This is the last week of school so I thought I'd put some Teacher cards together. This stamp set is from Papertrey Ink, the ink & paper is Stampin' Up!. The colors I used were, Whisper White, Basic Black, Lucky Limeade, Real Red, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso and Always Artichoke. I don't think we thank our teachers enough, they have a tough job, so to all the teachers out there... Thank You for all you do!!!

Grad Cards

these are some cards (and two tags!) that I put together this afternoon.

Project Life: Week 17

Week 17! We had 2 birthday parties this week and it was a busy week at the studio so we weren't home much. Abby allergies started bothering her, but I think she still had a good week! Below is the sketch - I followed it fairly close, just modified it for the date element & a larger jornaling area.

Project Life: Week 16

This week was crazy busy preparing for Abby's Birthday Party! And my camera was gone for most of the week so I had to use my phone. We made Jelly, played with friends, ate yummy food and met Max! The sketches I used are below from Nuts About Sketches. The top one was the layout and the bottom one was inspiration for paper. I was feeling like I'd done alot of three colors layered up like in the first sketch. I put the yellow piece down and was gonna move it up to the top so only a strip showed, but I liked the way it looked.

Project Life: Week 15

Funky Girl Scrapbook Page

This is a fun page for Reagan's scrapbook. I posted this on facebook and I included the comments from our friends. I think Reagan will get a kick out of this when she gets older! Here is the sketch I used from Nuts About Sketches. I rotated it around since my image is vertical.

Project Life: Week 14

Here is the layout for week 14 of PL:2012 and the sketch I used from Nuts About Stetches. I'll tell ya a little bit about my thought process on this layout, why I choose this layout and colors. I originally had 10 images to work with and after looking at the images I knew I wanted the one of Abby bigger (since this was her birthday week) and the one of Nanna with the girls in the wagon ( I remember my great-grandma, Granny Shahan pulling us girls around her house in a wagon). So when I seen this layout with the 5x7 on the right page & I thought I could do one picture where the 2- 4x6's are on the left. Plus this layout gave me room for the date and plenty of room for all the ournaling of that week. Once I got about half way through I found 2 more pictures that I HAD to have on here so I wiggled some around to include those.
After I get all the images where I want them, I look at the overall colors, what colors jump out, what color is the most common (around here its pink!). That how I decide what colors to use. Then I add some supporting colors that complement the main colors, in this layout the main colors are pink (lots of pink in the clothes), green (we were outside alot, abby shirt and the wagon) and yellow (abby's shirt). Then I added some blue just for fun.

Sports & School Pages

Here are some pages that I've done over the past couple weeks. They are traditional pages for a lady I scrapbook for. These are so much fun to do! I use my Cricut alot when I make these, I like being able to make my embellishments whatever size & colors I need to match the pictures.

Week 13

I over slept yesterday so I didn't get  week 13 done until this morning. And since its NATIONAL SCRAPBOOK DAY, I'm hoping to post several pages today! I'm also gonna post the sketches I used as a jumping off point for this week. I got it from Nuts About Sketches they have awesome layout ideas so check 'em out! I had 14 images that I wanted to use and most sketches don't have that many spots for pictures, so I combined two.

I like the overall layout on this one (above). I thought I could put small pictures instead of a sub title. I liked
the title and jornalling space going straight down the page.
And in this one I LOVED the CIRCLES! When doing digital layouts I sometimes forget about doing circles.

Hope you enjoyed!

Week 12

I got behind on designing my Project Life 2012 pages. So, I'm getting up an hour earlier each day to get a week done before the girls wake up! :) This week has LOTS of photos, I think there are 19! The 7 little ones at the bottom were taken by Reagan, I love getting her view of things! We did alot this week and after I completed this layout I realized that I missed the biggest thing we did... THE ZOO! So I think I'm gonna do a separate layout just for the zoo to stick in my Project Life album. This year I've decided to have a scrapbook for Reagan, one for Abby and then Project Life for me. So I've got a couple ideas for layouts that I want to do and I will just stick them in with PJ2012.
